Mission

 

To use surfing as a platform for community development in rural villages affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic in the Eastern Cape region of South Africa.

 

Vision

 

Surfcare seeks to address the root causes of poverty. We seek to empower the residents of these villages to transcend adversity through participatory, creative, sustainable community development initiatives, including HIV/AIDS awareness and education, life skills training, microenterprise development and an orphan/vulnerable children empowerment project.
